Kate Wilson

Born in Edinburgh, Kate left home at 18 and spent a brief time working in Teesside before moving to Brussels’s,

a place she considers the real beginning of her journey. She lived there for nine years, travelling extensively before returning to Scotland.

Settling in the Borders, Kate worked in social work and later moved to Fife, where she raised her daughter and cared for her mother while taking on various roles over two decades.

Kate returned to the Borders and became involved with A Positive Start CIC, a deeply fulfilling experience that has given her a renewed sense of purpose. She is passionate about creating safe spaces, supporting those who have faced challenges, and helping to build a more compassionate community. Through her role as a Director, Kate brings her life experience, empathy, and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
