Our TRUST Framework
Why Our Trauma-Informed TRUST Framework Is Essential for Recovery
Creating Safe & Supportive Spaces for Healing & Growth
At the heart of recovery from trauma is the ability to restore a sense of safety, connection, and balance. Our TRUST framework—Trigger identification, Reassurance, Understanding, Safety, and Truth—provides the foundation for creating a compassionate and nurturing environment where healing can truly begin. Whether supporting adults or children, this approach empowers individuals to regulate their nervous systems and build the resilience needed for long-term recovery and growth.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
We believe recovery extends beyond individuals to the environments and communities we create. By fostering a compassionate culture that prioritizes people, animals, and the planet, we aim to create a ripple effect—like a pebble dropped into a pond. When we care for one another and the world around us, we can help build stronger, healthier generations for the future.
- For Adults and Children: Supporting nervous system regulation is at the core of our framework. By teaching practical strategies for emotional regulation, we empower individuals to manage stress, build resilience, and thrive.
- For Communities: Our work extends to creating environments rooted in empathy and understanding, whether in homes, schools, workplaces, or community spaces.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to creating a world where safety, understanding, and compassion are the norm. By following the principles of our trauma-informed TRUST framework, we can collectively foster a culture of care and healing that supports both personal recovery and the well-being of future generations.
Join us in creating a compassionate and caring environment where every person—and every living thing—is valued. Together, we can help take care of each other.
Trauma often leaves individuals hypersensitive to certain triggers, leading to emotional and physical dysregulation. By identifying and validating these triggers, we can help people feel seen, understood, and less alone in their experiences. This acknowledgment is the first step toward calming the mind and body.
Trauma can erode trust and create feelings of shame or fear. Reassurance helps rebuild trust by providing consistent messages of safety, understanding, and care. Compassionate support helps individuals feel valued and encourages self-compassion in their journey of recovery.
Healing cannot happen in isolation. Understanding creates a bridge of empathy, allowing individuals to feel heard and supported. When caregivers, teachers, or loved ones take the time to understand a person’s unique needs, they foster connection and strengthen the foundation for healing.
A sense of safety is critical for recovery. Trauma often disrupts this feeling, making it difficult to relax or trust others. By creating physically and emotionally safe spaces—free from judgment, unpredictability, and harm—we allow individuals to regain control and stability.
Trauma can often result from betrayal or deception, making truth and transparency essential for healing. Clear, honest communication rebuilds trust and restores faith in relationships, fostering an environment of mutual respect and security.
