A Positive Start CIC · Women's Community Project
Survivors Speakers Corner
A welcoming, supportive space for women who have experienced domestic violence, abuse or trauma. Together, we can build connection, explore creative expression, and make room for the voices and experiences of women who have too often gone unheard.
Expressions of interest welcomeA three-year project funded by the Volant Charitable Trust, administered by Foundation Scotland.
Regular weekly gatherings at Harestanes Tower, with refreshments, kindness and opportunities to connect with others.
Optional creative activities and storytelling to explore expression, connection and personal meaning. You can take part at your own pace.
Exploring how conversations about abuse can shift away from blaming survivors and towards accountability for harmful behaviour.
Encouraging community, confidence, emotional wellbeing and opportunities for women to find and use their voices in ways that feel right for them.
This is a community wellbeing and connection group, not a requirement to share personal experiences or disclose trauma. Participation in activities and discussions is always a choice. The group is separate from APS's funded counselling services.
Location: Harestanes Tower, near Jedburgh, Scottish Borders. Weekly sessions; joining details and group arrangements will be shared following an expression of interest.
Interested in joining?
We welcome expressions of interest from women who feel this group may be helpful. Completing the form allows APS to make contact with further information; it does not require you to share your personal story.
