My Body Is My Body
Empowering children through prevention, compassion, and confidence
I’m honoured to be the My Body is My Body (MBIMB) Ambassador for Scotland, proudly supporting the world’s No.1 free child abuse prevention programme, that uses music, movement, and simple language to teach children vital personal safety skills.
As someone who understands how early experiences shape us, I deeply value approaches that nurture safety and empowerment from the very beginning. MBIMB’s resources are trauma-informed, easy to use, and completely free – making them accessible to parents, carers, educators, and community leaders around the world.
The programme covers essential topics such as:
- Understanding feelings
- Body boundaries
- Safe and unsafe secrets
- How to ask for help
It’s delivered through songs and videos that are engaging and age-appropriate, helping children build the confidence to speak up and the language to know what’s okay – and what’s not.
Learn more about the My Body is My Body Program from founder Chrissy Sykes who will be joining us for our Free Summer Solstice open weekend 20th & 21st June, 12- 4pm, Harestanes Tower, Ancrum, Jedburgh, TD86UQ.
At A Positive Start CIC, we believe prevention is powerful. That’s why we’re proud to share MBIMB as part of our mission to create safer, more compassionate spaces for children everywhere.
