Narcissistic Relationships

Romantic Relationships

Often referred to as Seducer or Casanova Narcissists.

The first thing to say is, it is not wise to diagnose or label people with a personality disorder. NPD is a mental health condition that should only be diagnosed by a qualified psychologist.

With that said, if you are in a relationship with someone who you believe is displaying the traits of NPD, it is important to educate yourself so you understand what you are dealing with, and learn how you can protect yourself.

What signs should I be looking for if I think I am in a romantic relationship with a narcissist?

The biggest sign has to be; Why you are asking this question in the first place?

What is motivating you to look for answers?

What emotions are you experiencing and, if you pay attention to these emotions, what are they telling you?

Bearing in mind you are supposed to feel good! You are supposed to feel good about yourself and your relationships.

Do you mostly feel good? do you mostly feel bad? or are you mostly experiencing confusion.

Healthy relationships don’t tend to move people to ask these questions in the first place, so it is worth asking yourself – “what is happening that has made me question this relationship?” “Am I truly happy with how I feel”? Be honest, given the choice, is this the relationship you would choose? Because whether you know it or now, you do have a choice!
